The Trading Pit: your questions, answered by real funded traders
Is The Trading Pit legit?
The Trading Pit operates CFD and futures programs with published rules. Its official disclosure states that client accounts use virtual funds in a simulated environment. The nine profiles below document individual experiences, not an independent audit or a guarantee of future payouts.
Do people actually get funded by The Trading Pit?
Passing a Challenge and receiving an Earning Account are separate stages. The profiles include challenge progress as well as funded-trader interviews; they do not show that all nine traders passed or currently hold an active Earning Account. A paid-for challenge is not the same as a post-evaluation account.
What is it like to trade a The Trading Pit challenge?
The historical excerpts describe waiting for setups, progressing between stages, drawdowns and an account breach. They illustrate individual experiences, not a representative success rate. Current program conditions should be checked separately.
Are these The Trading Pit traders independent?
The challenge-journal contributors participate in JoinProp’s disclosed partnership with The Trading Pit. That relationship should be considered when reading their accounts. Their published experiences are individual reports, not independent verification of provider-wide results.
Where can I read a full The Trading Pit review?
Read JoinProp’s The Trading Pit review for program comparisons, and confirm current CFD or Futures terms on the provider’s official website. Historical trader experiences can refer to different programs and older rules.
Is The Trading Pit a scam?
An operating provider, published terms and named trader accounts offer evidence to assess. They do not prove every payment, establish current account status for all contributors or guarantee against future disputes. Review the agreement, fees, account model and payout conditions before purchasing.

Historical card labels such as “trading live” describe the original journal presentation; they do not establish live-market execution or current account status.
9 The Trading Pit trader profiles – historical experiences
“It took me eight months to pass, because I decided not to force the process.”
EURUSD outlook for the day. Documenting the whole journey here – wins, losses and the lessons in between. Hopefully mainly wins. Trading carries risk; past performance is not a guarantee.
The pairs I was monitoring – EURUSD and GBPUSD for longs, USDCHF for a short – moved without returning to my Points of Interest. I did not chase price: if the setup does not meet my rules, I let it go. Discipline means accepting missed opportunities and waiting patiently for the next high-probability setup. Trading carries risk; past performance is not a guarantee.
Trade #4 – target hit. This AUDJPY trade triggered on Monday and finally reached target today: a clean +7R that erased the drawdown and pushed the account back into $500+ profit. I also tried a 0.5R re-entry that stopped out before the real move – that is trading. Current balance: $20,500+. Trading carries risk; past performance is not a guarantee.
Milestone: I have completed the first stage and moved on to the second. Not easy, but not that hard either – every new session is a new battle, and to know what to do you need a solid plan and a strategy for different situations. Thanks to that approach, most of my trading periods end in profit. Trading carries risk; past performance is not a guarantee.
Quick update: last week was a bit of a setback with a small loss overall, but Friday I locked in $400 and today I secured $900. Feels good to bounce back with solid setups. Losses happen – staying patient and only taking high-probability trades is what keeps you in the game. Trading carries risk; past performance is not a guarantee.
Round 1 ended: I breached the $20K CFD challenge account. Not much to say except to accept the outcome and take full responsibility. Grateful for the opportunity and the lessons – every setback is a chance to learn and come back stronger. Trading carries risk; past performance is not a guarantee.
“It’s not gambling; it’s boring and frustrating – risk management, calculations, and numbers.”
“Prop firms are pure mathematics. You can’t be profitable 100% of the time – that’s not how it works.”
