    Took a short on XAUUSD and a long on USDJPY, both of which worked, recovering half of his previous loss. His takeaway is that as long as risk is managed the market gives the losses back, and that a losing trade and a winning trade are both part of consistency in trading.

    A tough session. He held a short on XAUUSD into the FOMC data release expecting it to work and was stopped out instead, the largest stop loss he has taken in the challenge so far. He puts it down to emotion and impatience taking over, calls it a lesson learnt and says he will keep adjusting and improving, since the market does not recognise a professional trader.

But after waiting on a 4h chart close I decided to check the 1h time frame, spotted a short move, took the trade and made some profit with the opportunity. Added experience: I was able to split my risk into two places for the day, which helped me recover from the loss back to profit.
