  1. inLinkedInHeld my rule, took the loss

My S&P 500 sell hit stop-loss today after running 2.6R in profit. I almost moved to break-even, but my rules say B.E only after 3R — 2.6R isn’t 3R, so I left it. Watching 2.6R turn into a loss didn’t feel good, but this is exactly where discipline is tested. No revenge trade, no emotional adjustment to the rules. Balance now: $20,569. Unto the next one.

  2. inLinkedInDown 5 of 7, account still +$700

I lost my last trade on JP225. I knew I should have closed it on Friday — I saw the signs of invalidation but decided to keep holding and hoping. Well, I paid for it. That’s trading; emotions creep in sometimes. My strategy hasn’t been at its best either — I’ve lost 5 of the 7 trades I’ve taken so far. And yet the account is still sitting at +$700. This is exactly why I keep talking about risk management: you won’t always have the best entries, the best conditions, or get it right — but if you manage your risk properly, a bad run doesn’t have to become a bad account. Just a quick update like I promised. Back to the charts.

BTC finally did its thing. After holding the trade for days – watching price come close, pull back, and test my patience – TP finally got hit. I closed a little earlier ahead of the news; the profit was already there and I had no reason to give it back. Profits secured. Account now sitting at $20,988+. JP225 is in a little drawdown, but we’re still very much in the game. One trade doesn’t make the account, one loss doesn’t break it either. Happy weekend my LinkedIn fam.

Challenge account update. EURAUD decided to remind me that this thing is called a challenge for a reason. Took the loss. Balance now sitting at $20,350+. But we move. Currently have two positions running: BTC buys and JP225 sell – both still in profit. The interesting one is BTC: I’ve been holding this trade for 4 days now, today makes it day 5 and it still hasn’t reached TP. I’m starting to see some signs the move might be losing steam. If price breaks below 64k, I’ll probably close it and take whatever the market gives me. No attachment to the trade – if the reason for staying in it disappears, I’m out. Let’s see how today plays out. Just like I promised from day one, I’m documenting the entire process here – the wins and losses, the waiting, the decisions nobody sees.

Trade number 6 on the JoinProp | From Zero to Funded challenge account from The Trading Pit. It’s in profit. Break even is in place. The trade doesn’t need me anymore – there’s nothing left to analyse, nothing left to tweak. If I keep opening my chart now, I’m not looking for opportunities, I’m looking for problems. I’ve done enough. Now it’s the market’s turn. Let’s see how this one plays out. Good morning my LinkedIn family.
