What Information We Collect
You can browse JoinProp without giving us any personal details. We collect personal data in two situations: when you actively submit it, and automatically when you use the site.
Information you give us
- Email address, when you subscribe to our newsletter or submit our prop firm matching quiz.
- Quiz answers, such as your trading preferences, experience level, preferred account size and platform, submitted through our matching quiz.
- Message content, if you contact us by email or through a contact form.
Information collected automatically
- Technical data: IP address, browser type and version, operating system, device type, screen size and language.
- Usage data: pages viewed, time on page, referring site, links and buttons clicked, including clicks on prop firm links.
- Cookie and identifier data: cookie IDs and similar identifiers set by us and by the third-party services listed below.
We do not collect payment details, government identification, or trading account credentials. JoinProp is an information and comparison site, not a broker or a prop firm.

We do not use your data to make automated decisions that produce legal or similarly significant effects on you. Our quiz results are informational suggestions only.

Affiliate Links
JoinProp is funded in part by affiliate commissions. Many links to prop firms on this site are affiliate or tracking links. If you click one and later sign up or buy a challenge, we may receive a commission or referral fee at no extra cost to you, and in many cases you receive an exclusive discount through our link.
When you click an affiliate link, the destination firm may receive your IP address, browser information and a referral identifier that tells them the visit came from JoinProp. From that point onward, the prop firm’s own privacy policy applies to your data, not ours. Commission arrangements do not change our rankings or review scores.
Embedded Content From Other Websites
Our articles may include embedded content such as videos, images or social posts. Embedded content behaves as if you had visited the other website directly. Those websites may collect data about you, set their own cookies, embed additional tracking, and monitor your interaction with that content, including if you are logged in to them.
Who We Share Your Data With
We do not sell your personal data. We share it only with:
- The service providers listed above, acting on our instructions.
- Prop firms, only in the limited referral sense described under Affiliate Links, when you choose to click through to them.
- Professional advisers, such as accountants or lawyers, where necessary.
- Authorities or regulators, where we are legally required to do so, or to establish, exercise or defend legal claims.
- A buyer or successor, if our business or its assets are sold or reorganised.
International Data Transfers
We are based in Cyprus, in the European Union. Some of our providers are located outside the European Economic Area, mainly in the United States. Where data is transferred outside the EEA, we rely on appropriate safeguards, such as the European Commission’s Standard Contractual Clauses or an adequacy decision, including the EU-US Data Privacy Framework where the provider is certified. How Long We Keep Your Data
- Newsletter and quiz submissions: kept while you remain subscribed, and deleted no later than 12 months after you unsubscribe or after your last engagement with us.
- Email correspondence: up to 24 months after our last exchange.
- Analytics and advertising data: kept for the retention period of the relevant provider, typically between 2 and 26 months.
- Cookie consent records: up to 12 months, so we can show that consent was given.
- Server and security logs: normally up to 12 months.
We may keep data longer where a law requires it or where it is needed for a legal claim.
Your Rights
If you are in the European Economic Area or the United Kingdom, you have the right to:
- Access the personal data we hold about you and receive a copy of it.
- Have inaccurate data corrected.
- Have your data erased.
- Restrict or object to how we process your data, including objecting to direct marketing at any time.
- Receive your data in a portable, machine readable format.
- Withdraw your consent at any time, which does not affect processing carried out before you withdrew it.
To exercise any of these rights, email info@opsodo.com. We reply within 30 days. You can unsubscribe from marketing emails at any time using the unsubscribe link in every email.
If you believe we have handled your data improperly, you may complain to the Office of the Commissioner for Personal Data Protection in Cyprus (dataprotection.gov.cy) or to the supervisory authority in your country of residence.
California Privacy Rights
If you are a California resident, you have the right to know what personal information we collect, to request deletion or correction, and to opt out of the sale or sharing of personal information. We do not sell personal information for money. However, our use of advertising cookies such as the Facebook Pixel may qualify as sharing for cross-context behavioural advertising under California law. You can opt out by rejecting marketing cookies in our cookie banner, or by emailing info@opsodo.com. We will not discriminate against you for exercising these rights.
Children’s Privacy
JoinProp is intended for adults aged 18 and over. We do not knowingly collect personal data from anyone under 18. If you believe a minor has given us personal data, contact info@opsodo.com and we will delete it.
How We Protect Your Data
We use encrypted connections (HTTPS), access controls, and reputable service providers to protect your data. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, so we cannot guarantee absolute security. If a data breach is likely to result in a high risk to your rights, we will notify you and the relevant authority as required by law.
Changes to This Policy
We may update this policy as our services, tools or legal obligations change. The date at the top of this page shows when it was last revised. Material changes will be highlighted on the site.
