FTMO: your questions, answered by real funded traders
Is FTMO legit?
Yes. FTMO is one of the most established proprietary trading firms, and across the 38 funded traders JoinProp has interviewed who traded with FTMO, every one confirmed passing FTMO’s evaluation and managing a live funded account. Their accounts are published under their own names, with certifications and payout screenshots shown in 18 of the interviews below.
Do people actually get paid by FTMO?
Yes. Several traders in our interviews describe receiving real payouts from FTMO – including one whose story is titled “My First Payout Proved Dreams Come True.” Each account is a named, dated first-person interview, and 18 include a certification or payout screenshot as proof.
How hard is it to get funded with FTMO?
It varies by trader. Some passed on their first attempt (“Funded On The First Account I Ever Bought”), while others describe several failed evaluations before passing. The consistent theme across all 38 interviews is that discipline and risk management – not aggressive trading – is what got them funded.
What do real FTMO traders say about the firm?
Consistently: the rules are strict but fair, payouts are reliable, and patience beats frequency. You can read all 38 verbatim testimonials, each under the trader’s real name, below.
