Plutus Trade Base: the short version
- What it is: a prop firm run through two entities (Triple Edge Group, Cyprus + PTB Plutus TradeBase, Saint Lucia) offering simulated challenges on MT5, cTrader, Match Trader, DXtrade, TradeLocker and TradingView. $5k to $500k.
- The programs: five: Lightning (1-step), Freedom (1-step, auto-approved daily payouts), Adventure (1-step $500k), a 2-step Challenge, and Instant.
- The rule that defines it: a “Skill Score” payout-sizing engine on the Freedom plan — payouts auto-approve, but the maximum you can withdraw is set by how evenly your profit is spread across trades, and it resets after each payout.
- The split: up to 95%, though on Lightning the top split is a paid add-on rather than a base rate.
- Drawdown: plan-specific — static on some (Lightning 4–6%), trailing on others (Freedom/Adventure/Instant); breaches are hard.
- Watch for: “Cyprus-licensed” and “real capital” language over simulated Terms, and complaints of post-profit “manual breaches” that reduce or deny payouts.

Company and regulation
Plutus Trade Base (PTB) is run through a deliberate two-entity structure: Triple Edge Group LTD in Cyprus provides the evaluation services, billing and most platforms, while PTB Plutus TradeBase LTD in Saint Lucia handles only the MetaTrader 5 side. It is not regulated — the Terms state neither company is a broker, holds client funds, or executes live-market orders — and all trading is simulated: “All trading is simulated. The Customer does not deposit trading capital and does not trade real funds in the market,” with payouts described as “a discretionary, performance-based reward paid from the Company’s own resources.”
The rule that defines it: the Skill Score payout-sizing engine
Plutus Trade Base’s most distinctive mechanic sits on its Freedom plan, and it is worth understanding precisely because the marketing (“automatic, no-review payouts”) tells only half the story. On Freedom, payout approval is automatic and usually paid within 24 hours — but the maximum amount you can withdraw in a single payout is capped by a proprietary “Skill Score.”
The Skill Score measures how evenly your profit is spread across individual trades (not across days), is calculated per trade, and resets after every payout. Spread your gains evenly and your withdrawable cap is high; concentrate them in a few trades and your cap shrinks — even though the payout is still “approved automatically.” In effect, the firm can algorithmically throttle how much you take out while still marketing hands-off payouts. It is a coherent way to reward consistent trading, but it means “auto-approved” does not mean “withdraw whatever you’ve made,” and that distinction is the single most important thing to grasp before choosing Freedom.
Products, split and drawdown
PTB runs five programs: Lightning (1-step, $5k–$500k), Freedom (1-step with auto-approved daily payouts, $10k–$100k), Adventure (1-step, a single $500k size), a traditional 2-step Challenge, and Instant ($5k–$50k). A separate Bybit crypto funded product is also promoted. The split reaches 95%, though on Lightning the top tier is a paid add-on rather than the base.
Drawdown is plan-specific: Lightning uses static limits (around 4–6%) with a 2% daily loss cap and a 2%-per-trade risk limit; Freedom, Adventure and Instant use trailing maximums (4–10%) with no daily loss limit. Daily-loss and drawdown breaches are hard breaches that end the account. Minimum withdrawal is $100, payouts run every 14 days by default (or anytime with a paid “Withdraw-Anytime” add-on), and your entry/activation fee is refunded after the third payout. Note a stabilisation cap: after two funded-account breaches, a 60-day window limits withdrawals to $3,000.
Contradictions to be aware of
- “Cyprus-licensed” in the footer vs Terms confirming neither entity is a broker or regulated financial firm.
- Simulated vs “real capital”: core Terms say all trading is simulated, while a Bybit crypto pop-up advertises trading “with real capital.”
- Lightning split: the plan table shows a 70% base while the add-on section describes raising it “from 80% to 95%” — an internal 70/80 conflict.
- “Freedom” framing: auto-approval doesn’t waive the firm’s right to apply consistency conditions that can still reduce or delay a payout.
Rules and fees at a glance
- Signature rule: Freedom “Skill Score” caps single-payout size by profit evenness across trades; resets each payout.
- Split: up to 95% (Lightning top tier is a paid add-on).
- Drawdown: plan-specific, static or trailing; hard breaches.
- Payouts: $100 minimum, every 14 days (or paid Withdraw-Anytime); fee refunded after the 3rd payout.
- Cost: mostly one-time (Lightning splits into entry + activation fee); no monthly subscription.
- Platforms: MT5, cTrader, Match Trader, DXtrade, TradeLocker, TradingView.
Verdict
Plutus Trade Base offers genuine breadth — five programs, six platforms, a 95% ceiling and fast (often sub-24-hour) first payouts on Freedom — and the fee-refund-after-three-payouts and low $100 minimum are trader-friendly touches. For someone who wants choice, it is a flexible menu.
The cautions are about the fine print and the payout mechanics. The accounts are simulated despite “real capital” and “Cyprus-licensed” language; the Skill Score means Freedom’s “automatic” payouts are still size-capped by an algorithm; and there are recurring complaints of post-profit “manual breaches” and added consistency conditions that reduce or deny payouts. Choose your plan deliberately, understand exactly how the Skill Score and any consistency rules apply to it, and it can work; take the “freedom” and “95%” headlines at face value and you may be caught out.
Frequently Asked Questions
Is Plutus Trade Base regulated, and is the capital real?
Plutus Trade Base runs through two entities, Triple Edge Group in Cyprus and PTB Plutus TradeBase in Saint Lucia, and is unregulated. Its Terms state that neither company is a broker, holds client funds or executes live-market orders, and that all trading is simulated with no real funds traded. Payouts are described as a discretionary, performance-based reward paid from the company own resources.
What is the Plutus Trade Base Skill Score?
On the Freedom plan, payouts are auto-approved and usually paid within 24 hours, but the maximum you can withdraw in a single payout is set by a proprietary Skill Score. It measures how evenly your profit is spread across individual trades, is calculated per trade, and resets after each payout. Concentrate your gains in a few trades and your withdrawable cap shrinks, even though the payout is still approved automatically.
What is the Plutus Trade Base profit split?
The split reaches up to 95 percent. On the Lightning plan, however, the top split is a paid add-on rather than the base rate, and the firm own pages show an internal conflict between a 70 percent and an 80 percent base. Treat 95 percent as a ceiling that may require paying for an upgrade, and confirm the base for your specific plan.
What programs does Plutus Trade Base offer?
Five: Lightning (1-step, $5k to $500k), Freedom (1-step with auto-approved daily payouts, $10k to $100k), Adventure (1-step at a single $500k size), a traditional 2-step Challenge, and Instant ($5k to $50k). A separate Bybit crypto funded product is also promoted. Platforms include MT5, cTrader, Match Trader, DXtrade, TradeLocker and TradingView.
How do Plutus Trade Base payouts and drawdown work?
The minimum withdrawal is $100, payouts run every 14 days by default or anytime with a paid Withdraw-Anytime add-on, and your fee is refunded after the third payout. Drawdown is plan-specific: static on Lightning (around 4 to 6 percent) and trailing on Freedom, Adventure and Instant. Breaches are hard breaches that end the account, and after two funded-account breaches a 60-day stabilisation window caps withdrawals at $3,000.
Are there cautions with Plutus Trade Base?
Yes. The accounts are simulated despite real-capital and Cyprus-licensed language (neither entity is a regulated broker), and there are recurring complaints of post-profit manual breaches and added consistency conditions that reduce or deny payouts. Choose your plan deliberately and confirm exactly how the Skill Score and any consistency rules apply before buying.
