  1. LinkedInThe first trade on gold adds 1,083 dollars into the PCE release

    Gold had been selling off and formed a short term range around 4177 to 4185. Rather than chase the downside he waited for a liquidity sweep followed by a reclaim of the range, positioned ahead of the 14:30 CET US macro release with PCE as the catalyst. PCE came in softer than expected, which eased expectations of further Fed tightening and supported gold, and the release gave the expansion he was positioned for. His sequence: liquidity sweep, reclaim, consolidation, macro catalyst, expansion. He reports the trade added 1,083 dollars, taking the account from a 100,000 dollar starting balance to 101,083 against a 106,000 target to complete the challenge.
