Eightcap Challenges Discount Code, 10% OFF with Joinprop
Code Joinprop takes 10% off Eightcap Challenges through the link on this page. This one is structurally different from the rest of our list: it is the in-house challenge arm of Eightcap, an established multi-entity broker, rather than a standalone prop startup. It runs MT4, MT5, TradeLocker and TradingView, lists over 200 instruments, imposes no time limit on its main programmes, and accepts US residents, though only on TradeLocker or TradingView.
How to Claim Your Eightcap Challenges Discount
- Open Eightcap Challenges using the button above so the referral registers.
- Choose a product. One Phase, Two Phase, a Day Trader Challenge, or a Payout Phase account that skips straight to the payout stage.
- Choose your bankroll. Eightcap calls the account size the Nominated Bankroll and the fee the Access Fee. Sizes run $5,000 to $200,000.
- Enter Joinprop at checkout and confirm the reduction shows before you pay. Add-ons are priced as percentage uplifts on the Access Fee, so decide on those first.
A Regulated Broker, But the Challenge Sits Outside the Licences
This needs stating clearly, because it is the most misread thing about this firm in both directions.
Eightcap is a real broker group with real licences. Eightcap International Ltd holds a Seychelles FSA licence, Eightcap Global Limited is registered with the Securities Commission of The Bahamas, there is a Mauritius FSC entity, and there is a St Vincent registration. The challenges site accurately describes itself as part of a globally regulated financial services provider.
What the marketing does not lead with, and the footer states plainly, is that the challenge product is carved out of all of it. In the firm’s own words, the products and services offered through the challenges site do not form part of any regulated financial services of the company and do not fall within the scope of any authorisations, licences or permissions the company may hold in any jurisdiction. Participation does not create a client relationship under any financial services law, and everything is a simulated environment.
So the honest reading is this: you are dealing with a counterparty that has far more corporate substance, history and disclosure than a typical prop startup, which is a real advantage when it comes to whether payouts get honoured. You are not getting regulatory protection over the challenge itself. Both halves of that are true, and the firm deserves credit for publishing the second half rather than letting the first do all the talking.
The operating entity you contract with is Eightcap International Ltd, company number 8427413-1, Seychelles, trading as Eightcap Challenges.
The Day Trader Challenge, and the Hedging Rule That Catches Ordinary Portfolios
The Day Trader Challenge is unlike anything else we cover, and it is worth understanding before you assume it is a small prop account. You choose a stake between $5 and $500, a session length of 1, 2, 4 or 8 hours, and a payout multiplier of 2x, 5x or 10x. You then trade a fixed $10,000 simulated balance and, if you hit the target inside the window, your stake is multiplied and paid immediately. An 8-hour challenge at 10x costs around $40 and pays around $239.
That is a fixed-odds wager on a trading session rather than a funding programme, and it is priced like one. Two mechanics make that clear: the timer starts the instant you pay, whether or not you have logged in, and the payout is a stake multiplier rather than a profit share, which is why it can be advertised at 100%. Day Trader also carries its own Profit Allocation limits, a 40% cap per symbol and 60% per asset class of the profit target, with excess profit excluded from the calculation. If that exclusion drops you back under target, there is no payout. Treat it as entertainment or as cheap practice under pressure, not as a path to funding.
On the One and Two Phase accounts, the rule most likely to end your account is the hedging definition, and it is unusually wide. Hedging is prohibited outright, and the firm’s own examples classify long EURUSD alongside long USDJPY, or long SPX500 alongside long VIX, as hedging, on the grounds of indirect opposing exposure. A multi-pair forex trader running normal diversified positions can trip this without ever intending to hedge anything. Prohibited-strategy breaches are hard breaches: immediate closure and forfeiture of profits, and the firm states that breaches are treated seriously whether intentional or not. Map your typical basket against that definition before you buy.
Gap trading is the runner-up risk, because it can reclassify something you did legitimately. Weekend and out-of-hours trading is allowed and swing trading is fine, but a position opened before a session close and closed after reopening may be classified as gap trading where it materially benefits from reopening liquidity. Those two rules pull against each other, so hold over a weekend on a thesis, not on an expected gap.
One genuinely trader-friendly oddity: high-frequency trading is expressly listed as allowed, and scalping with positions opened and closed inside 30 seconds is permitted, while tick scalping is banned. Very few firms allow the first and ban the third.
Eightcap Challenges Key Trading Conditions
A note on sourcing. JoinProp has not completed a data-request review of Eightcap Challenges, so the figures below come from the firm’s own published pages and its versioned Rules and Conditions PDF rather than from a finished JoinProp verification. Several rules differ by the date your account was created, and we note those where they apply. Check the current PDF version for your own account date before you rely on any single figure.

- Maximum Loss: One Phase 8%, Two Phase 10%, calculated on initial balance
- Drawdown Type: Balance based and static against the initial balance, stated as such in the Rules PDF. Floating losses on open trades still count toward the floating drawdown measure
- Profit Split: 80% standard, 90% only by buying the add-on at 25% of the Access Fee. Day Trader is a stake multiplier rather than a split
- Profit Cap: 5% of bankroll per cycle on One Phase, 10% on Two Phase, and any profit above the cap is forfeited when the account resets. Accounts created before 11 February 2026 have no Two Phase cap
- Payouts: A 14-day waiting period from account opening or your last request, reducible to 7 days or 3 days with paid add-ons. Day Trader pays immediately on success. Approved payouts typically process in 24 to 48 hours

- Fee Refund: None, ever. All purchases are final once processed. A wrong purchase may be switched or credited as a coupon. Terminated accounts forfeit any balance
- Consistency Rule: Called Profit Distribution and applied in the payout stage. A single calendar day may contribute at most 30% on One Phase or 35% on Two Phase of the requested profit for accounts from 11 February 2026, and 25% or 30% for earlier accounts. Trades opened within 30 seconds of each other count as one position
- Time Limit: None on One or Two Phase. Day Trader is 1, 2, 4 or 8 hours with the clock starting at purchase
- Minimum Trading Days: One Phase 5 in assessment and 7 in the payout stage. Two Phase 3 per stage and 5 in the payout stage, reduced to 3 with the add-on. A trade must stay open at least 60 seconds to count
- Scaling: 15% in payouts across four months with at least two profitable months can earn a 25% balance increase up to $1,000,000, but it is discretionary and explicitly not guaranteed. Maximum aggregate allocation $600,000, extendable to $800,000 on review
- News Trading: Restricted in the payout stage only. No opens or closes within 10 minutes either side of a high-impact event on One or Two Phase, 5 minutes on Day Trader, against the FXStreet calendar. This is a soft breach, costing you the profits from those trades but not the account
- Weekend and Overnight: Allowed, with a 24/7 platform and swing trading permitted. Gap trading is prohibited, and can catch a position held across a session close
- EAs: Allowed, with an explicit liability clause. By activating external software you accept full liability, and the firm will not reverse trades or reinstate accounts that failed through automation errors
- High-Frequency Trading: Allowed. Scalping inside 30 seconds allowed. Tick scalping prohibited
- Prohibited: Martingale, grid trading, hedging including via correlated instruments, gap trading, latency, reverse and swap arbitrage, account management, social trading tools, and copying other traders. VPN and VPS use is allowed if you supply login history to the risk team
- Inactivity: 30 consecutive days without a trade terminates the account at any stage
- JoinProp Score: Not yet rated, review pending
Frequently Asked Questions
Q: What is the Eightcap Challenges discount code?
A: Joinprop, for 10% off. Enter it at checkout after opening Eightcap Challenges through the link on this page.
Q: Is Eightcap Challenges regulated?
A: The Eightcap broker group is licensed in several jurisdictions. The challenge product is not covered by those licences, and the firm says so itself, stating that the services offered through the challenges site fall outside any authorisations or permissions the company holds anywhere and that participation creates no client relationship under financial services law. The practical benefit of the group’s substance is counterparty confidence, not regulatory recourse.
Q: Can I trade from the United States?
A: Yes, which distinguishes this firm from most forex prop shops, but only on TradeLocker or TradingView. MT4 and MT5 are not available to US residents, so check that your strategy does not depend on an MT-only tool before you buy.
Q: What counts as hedging here?
A: More than you would expect, and this is the rule to study. Hedging is banned, and the firm’s own examples include holding long EURUSD and long USDJPY at the same time, or long SPX500 and long VIX, on the basis of indirect opposing exposure. Prohibited-strategy breaches are hard breaches with immediate closure and forfeited profits, intentional or not. If you run several correlated positions as a matter of course, get your basket cleared in writing first.
Q: Is there a cap on how much I can make?
A: Yes, and this is the most expensive detail on the page. The profit cap per cycle is 5% of your bankroll on One Phase and 10% on Two Phase, and profit above the cap is forfeited when the account resets after a payout. On a $100,000 One Phase account that is $5,000 per cycle, with anything beyond it lost rather than carried forward. Size your targets to the cap rather than to the account.
Q: What is a Day Trader Challenge?
A: A fixed-odds wager on a single session rather than a funding route. You pick a stake from $5 to $500, a window of 1, 2, 4 or 8 hours and a multiplier of 2x, 5x or 10x on a $10,000 simulated balance. Hit the target in time and your stake is multiplied and paid immediately. The timer starts the moment you pay, logged in or not. It is a fun and cheap pressure test. It is not a prop account.
Q: Is high-frequency trading really allowed?
A: Yes. The Rules PDF lists HFT as allowed and permits scalping with positions opened and closed within 30 seconds, while banning tick scalping specifically. That combination is rare, and if speed is central to your edge it is one of the strongest reasons to look here. Just note that EAs come with a liability clause: automation errors that fail your account will not be reversed.
Q: Do I get the fee back?
A: No, at any point. The firm states that it does not provide refunds for access fees and that all purchases are final once processed. A mistaken purchase may be switched or turned into a coupon at their discretion. Terminated accounts forfeit whatever balance is in them.
Q: How do payouts work in practice?
A: You wait 14 days from opening or from your last request, unless you bought the 7-day or 3-day add-on. The minimum is $100 after the split, which means roughly $125 of profit at 80%. Under $100 is crypto only. Bank transfers cost $50 and are USD only, crypto costs 1%. Trading is frozen while the request is reviewed, and after approval your balance resets to the initial amount for the next cycle.
Q: Is the capital real?
A: No. The firm states that profits during the simulated experience are virtual and that all trades are representative only and do not comprise real monies. The marketing mentions segregated, audited and insured bank custody, which relates to the broker group’s client money arrangements rather than to your simulated challenge balance.
Eightcap Challenges suits a trader who values dealing with an established broker group, no time limit, over 200 instruments, weekend and swing trading allowed, high-frequency trading expressly permitted, and US access on TradeLocker or TradingView. Weigh that against a product carved out of every licence the group holds, a per-cycle profit cap with the excess forfeited, an 80% base split, no refunds in any circumstance, a $50 bank transfer fee, a balance reset after every payout, and a hedging definition wide enough to catch two ordinary correlated positions.
